A Brief Summary
The HadaNõu Collective (HNC) is a nonprofit that helps other nonprofits become more effective at what they do, so they can grow their impact in the communities they serve. See the “HNC Overview” section below to learn more about what the organization does.
This is a role on HNC’s Infrastructure and Leader Support Program (ILS) team. The ILS program provides (1) shared back-end services for nonprofits (payroll, benefits, accounting, financial governance, etc), and (2) fiscal sponsorship. In a nutshell, “fiscal sponsorship” refers to other organizations borrowing HNC’s tax exempt status in order to access ~$500 billion of philanthropic funding distributed each year.
We are now expanding ILS to serve a broader range of organizations, helping to free up valuable time and resources for them to focus on what matters most: serving their communities.
Note: you do NOT need experience or familiarity with fiscal sponsorship to apply for this role, but you should be a curious and fast learner.

Written responses should be a maximum of 3 pages and respond to the following questions.
What is most compelling to you about HNC or our approach?
Why do you believe you would be successful in this role?
The majority of leaders HNC works with are executive leaders of color, and they often experience unique challenges and barriers as they work to bring their vision to life. Given this, please tell us a bit about why you’re the right person to support leaders in navigating this complexity.
What is your superpower? You may be good at many things, but what are you truly great at?
What kind of workplace do you thrive in? What kind of workplace do you struggle in?
A note on using AI to help write your responses: we ask that you do not use AI to help you write responses to these questions. We do use AI in quite interesting ways on our team, but in this application, we really just want to get to know you and how you think through your writing. If you don’t consider yourself a good writer, that will by no means disqualify you—we can help with that if you join our team. We use a relatively advanced model of analysis to determine which applications we receive were AI generated. It turns out that when we feed an AI our website, our application questions, and a resume…it’s relatively easy to separate out the AI-assisted applications from the good-old-fashioned human-written ones.
